About

I first discovered I was lactose-intolerant over twenty years ago, but loved dairy products so much that I wasn’t able to give them up until recently. Once I cut dairy from my diet, my digestive and overall health improved right away. I can honestly say I’ll never go back to consuming cow’s milk, or as a book I once saw in a hippie café called it, “the deadly poison.”

I’ve come across many blogs that contain dairy-free recipes, but they’re most often from folks who are not only dairy-free, but also gluten-free and/or vegan. I eat gluten and animal products; I just don’t eat dairy. And to be honest, I do eat a teeny amount of dairy in the form of butter. The lactose in it isn’t enough to upset my stomach, and butter tastes sooo good.

This blog is for folks who are looking for dairy-free alternatives that still pack the flavor and fun of the real moo.
